Phoenix paper cutby *daegfire

This image isn't finished yet .... and i don't really know what i'm going to do to finish it!!

The phoenix was cut out of black paper and originally going to be surrounded by cut layered fire made out of paper that has been painted with red yellow and gold .... But that didn't work. Looked way too confusing and i lost much of the detail on the tail.

So for now, its just going to stay like this .... until i can find something that works with it.

Perhaps if the same idea were presented in a deep shadowbox so the depth will remove some of the confusion? Love the tail, exquisite details.

i had the same idea,but i found that it still ended up hiding a lot of the detail. my own fault really for getting carried away on the tail, although it end up pretty

think i have found away to mount him now, but i gotta go make my own frame haha.
